The project involved the full refurbishment and remodelling of the existing MRI suite to create a new CT scanner room complete with a control room, team leader office, and quiet office. Works included full stripout, new distribution equipment and submains, lighting submains and distribution boards, and modifications to the existing UPS switch panel. The upgrade also comprised of medical IT system rewiring, new mains supply for the CT system, a power distribution panel for the scanner and heat exchanger, and extensive containment works including trunking and tray installations. Additional services included equipotential bonding busbars, new lighting and emergency lighting, small power installations, fire alarm systems, structured cabling for voice and data, data and telephone systems, a nurse call system, mechanical services power supplies, HVAC control panel supplies, and full inspection, testing, and commissioning to ensure full compliance and readiness for clinical operation.
