Thirsk netball helping to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Thirsk Netball Club has been working hard to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Preston Electrical have been one of the sponsors for the latest challenge they are undertaking and in week one of their challenge, 22 super shots were scored meaning £110.00 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance was raised.

To raise the money Thirsk & District Netball League have been donating £5 to Yorkshire Air Ambulance for every super shot scored through the summer league.

In a standard league a goal is worth 1 point, in a super shot league, for the last two minutes of each quarter of a game, a super shot can be scored.

The super shot has to be scored from a certain area in the circle and each goal is worth 2 points.
