Thirsk Netball Club, Defibrillator

Thirsk Netball Team fundraising to install a defibrilator at their training venue

For Thirsk Netball Clubs 10th anniversary they wanted to raise enough money to fit a defibrillator at Thirsk High School, where they train and play some matches.

To raise the money for the defibrillator, they participated in a number of sponsored challenges including,

  • a 10 hour silence,
  • bake sale,
  • 100 netball shots a day for 10 days,
  • running every day for 10 days,
  • 10 jars of honey being donated by one of the team,
  • 2×10 days of no sweets or chocolate,
  • 10 odd jobs for different people,
  • no phone for 10 hours,
  • over 10k swim in 10 days,
  • running up 10 levels of stairs,
  • and a three legged 10k run.

They achieved their goal, and the defibrillator was fitted by us.
